Responsibilities
1. Be the single point of contact for the customer to enhance technical communications between customer and Tyco Electronics engineering, product management and sales teams
2. Provide technical presentation, training and support to the customer
3. Work closely with the customer to understand their technology trend and future product requirement as a result of regulatory and standards evolution;
4. Provide voice of customer for engineering team in developing new products;
5. Capture the opportunity in its earliest stage that a Tyco Electronics product can be designed in;
6. Propose practical solutions which can be designed into a specific product by interpreting and conveying customer’s design specifications / requirement to engineering team;
Experience & Education Required
1. Good technical background in connector design, manufacturing and/or its application.
2. Minimum of 5 year engineering experience preferably in Telecom industry.
3. Familiar with CAD tools such as Pro-E, Solid-works, etc.
4. Willingness to travel on a regular basis. (travel rate at 30% annually)
5. Be innovative and ready to learn and promote new ideas to the customer.
6. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
7. Good English communication skill to interact with a multi-functional global team.
